Amazing Card Tricks
Simple Card Pick
Once again, this is a very simple card trick to learn and one which will only take you a few minutes to master.
Trick.
Initially, you shuffle the deck of cards and have a volunteer to choose any card, memorise it and then return it to the deck. You then magically riffle through the back and produce the card to everyone’s amazement.
Method.
Shuffle a full pack of cards openly in front of your volunteer and then ask them to choose a card and memorise it, then ask them to place the card on top of the pack. You then take the deck behind your back and flip the top card over so that it is facing up. You then bring out the pack so that the volunteer can only see the bottom card of the pack. This means that the card that the volunteer chose, and which you flipped over, is now facing you and you can see its value. You ask the volunteer if the card that he is looking at is the card he chose. Obviously they will say no, at this point you had some theatricals and say that you mustn’t have been concentrating hard enough and having the cards once again behind your back, you flip over the top card and place it anywhere in the pack. Now you produce the pack in front of you and flip through them until you come to the card that you know the volunteer chose.
The more theatricals you can add to your performance makes the trick appear that much more amazing and adds more polish to your routine.
This is a trick that will take only a few minutes practice in order to get it off pat, it´s also a good idea to perform it in front of a mirror so that you can ensure that when you produce the pack from behind your back initially only you can see the flipped top card.
